With immense gratitude, we remember the contributions of those who have been acting as the Convenor, Co Convenor and General of this press club since its establishment in 2011.
Reza Ahmed Faisal Chowdhury Shoyeb (Managing Director, Channel I Europe) and ATU Taj Rajman ( Bangla Times, UK) were Convenor and Member Secretary in the Founding Committee respectively. The Convening Committee formed in 2014 had Reza Ahmed Faisal Chowdhury and Hafiz Alam Bakhsh (ATN Bangla UK) as Co Convenors. Later in 2018, an Election Management Committee of the press club was formed with Reza Ahmed Faisal Chowdhury as the Convenor and AKM Abu Taher Chowdhury as a member secretary. An electoral general meeting of the press club, led by this committee was held on the 5th of December 2019. In that meeting, new leadership was decided upon unanimously by the members. For the first time a President and a General Secretary were elected, after three terms of Convening Committee. At present, AKM Abu Taher Chowdhury is acting as the President and Munzer Ahmed Chowdhury as the General Secretary of the press club.
